Ok so, today started quite well actually. I woke up bright and early at 11am (bright and early for a Sunday), I went to the gym for the first time in what feels like forever, I showered excited for the day to start, and then I started to feel dizzy and almost fainted? So I got out of the shower, dried off, fixed myself up just a bit and put on a pair of boxers - so if I did faint someone wouldn’t find me completely naked. This is normally how my panic/anxiety attacks begin. Luckily I was able to stop it from happening. Usually when something offsets a panic attack, I stay away from it - coffee, Red Bull. I can only assume that the workout is what caused this one - am I going to be afraid to work out now? Is this how people get fat? Hopefully, since I didn’t actually have an attack I’ll be fine.
So after the “close call”, I decided to watch Schindler’s List? Why? I have no idea. I guess that’s what close calls do to you, make you watch movies that you should’ve seen already but haven’t. And I only got through about 45 minutes of Schindler’s very long list and then I napped for a bit. So I decided to take the day off and steer clear of anything work related. No internships, no book writing, no editing.
I went with my friend Ted to see District 9 and it was a pretty entertaining film, I would recommend seeing it. What was more interesting was the teeny tiny baby cup I was given by the theater when I asked for a cup of water. Oh, and the water I had to use was from the water fountain. These theater’s are not playing around. Times are tough and they know we’re being cheap and so they’re being even cheaper. All I have to say is touche Pacific’s the Grove Stadium 14, touche. I do feel like I won in the end though because what they didn’t know is that I had a plate of sushi inside my blank and I sure did eat it while I watched the movie. So thanks Pacific’s the Grove Stadium 14! It was a great experience for all.
Tomorrow starts the new work week, or should I say internship week. I’m really excited to finish the project I’m working on for internship #3! He told me it should take me a few days - few meaning 3 or more. I’m trying to finish it in 2! And so, if I go in an hour early tomorrow and work through lunch, I should be able to do it! If you’re being paid you can take your sweet time, but us interns have to do the unthinkable and really wow our bosses so that they have to hire us when the internship’s over.
Either that, or just get a new intern.
